Very easy to pull out center cord and insert millinery wire for making tiara frames.  Sits looser than the 1.6mm (1/16-in) metallic cords, but still works well and is easier to use.  Tightens against the wire when pulled.

Great for use in tiaras, costume embellishment, etc.
